Description |
Jar carved from a slightly translucent, creamy white alabaster. Flat base; body with slightly convex profile and a high center of gravity; wide mouth with slightly out-turned ledge rim, flat on top. Two small lug handles are vertically set on opposite sides of the jar at the center of gravity. The handles are drilled through, and may have been used with string to hang or to affix a lid. Interior with uneven circular striations. |
